To qualify for an extension certain criteria must be met. See the full HSE article for the criteria here: Certificate Extensions.

Ofsted have confirmed that certificates that expired after 16th March 2020, have been extended until the 25th November 2020 and are considered as valid until this date. This is to allow providers time to renew their training where required.
See Government advice here. Section 6.2
First training delivery took place in a private EFAW class in the client's garden on 20th June 2020, followed by another EFAW class yesterday on the 25th June. It is good to be teaching again.
If you need to renew your EFAW or FAW we have classes available, limited to 2 students. Or if you prefer a private 1-1 class just email us to arrange a suitable time and date.
From the 15th June we can now return to classroom training for all courses. This is important for those that are needed to be obtained to comply with both HSE and Ofsted criteria such as: EFAW, FAW and Paediatric First Aid.
The HSE have confirmed certificates that have expired after the 16th March 20, will be considered valid until the 30th September 20, to give time for students to undertake a course to remain compliant.
Due to Covid our public classes will now be limited to 2 students only, see all public courses here. Clearly there are more listed due to classes being smaller.
Click on one of the COVID tabs below to register for these FREE to study courses - at the end you can opt to buy a certificate for £10 if you require one.
COVID 19
Whilst our NHS is currently stretched it has never been more important to be as self reliant as we can. Part of that is knowing what to do to deal quickly with everyday medical situations, where prompt action could mean a trip to the GP or A&E is not then required.
Why not sign up for an online course instead - ours use video to teach rather than having pages and pages of reading. Video is like a private class just for you.
To view all our online courses click here. For many online courses you can also study online ie Appointed Person £24.95 + vat and then book a private half an hour session a practical 'hands on' session one-to-one.
Or book onto one of our Public Classes, these are currently restricted to a maximum of 2 students, this ensures social distancing can be maintained and that each student has exclusive use of a manikin - so no sharing!
Just contact us with any questions or for further information.

The HSE now recommends that employers provide haemostatic dressings and tourniquets in their first aid kits, where it’s possible that trauma could occur.
An update to BS8599-1:2019 means that new BSi first aid kit rules are in force.
There are two new additions – a ‘critical injury pack’ for a severe life-threatening bleed or mass-casualty attack, and a new ‘personal first aid kit’, ideal for those lone-working and outside of the office. Minor other changes have been made to the small, medium and large workplace and catering kits.

HSE news:
The HSE has approved the use of Blended Training for First Aid courses for Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) and First Aid at Work (FAW) courses for the workplace. Our trade body ProTrainings EU has introduced all options for these courses and also for non HSE courses including, Driver CPC, Equestrian and Forestry versions of the courses.
Blended training means you can reduce the time training has to be completed in the classroom by completing part of your training online using our full feature video online training. Blended training is nothing new and it has been delivered for many years. We already have blended Basic Life Support, AED and our popular Paediatric First Aid courses. Our video based training is more engaging that PowerPoint based training courses.
Part One is completed online for a blended course and then part two of the course is where you complete the practical part of your course. Half day for an EFAW, two days for a First Aid at Work and one day for the First Aid at Work re-qualification. When you complete part two, you will receive your certificate in the post. See bulletin here.
